Our Programs

Vanguard Paracycling Team delivers structured programs designed to support adaptive athletes at every stage of development, with veterans as our primary focus and youth development as a long-term pipeline.

Veteran Paracycling Race Team

The Veteran Paracycling Race Team is the core program of Vanguard Paracycling Team.

This program provides military veterans with disabilities access to:

  • Structured training guidance

  • Competition readiness planning

  • Education around classification and event eligibility

  • Support navigating the national paracycling landscape

The goal of the Veteran Race Team is to prepare athletes for consistent participation in sanctioned paracycling events while fostering accountability, resilience, and long-term athletic development.

Youth Adaptive Development Program

A young man in a green and yellow sports jersey and helmet sits in a bright green racing wheelchair on a red running track, while an older man in a yellow tank top jogs beside him.

The Youth Adaptive Development Program serves as a pipeline for young adaptive athletes interested in competitive cycling.

This program focuses on:

  • Early exposure to adaptive cycling disciplines

  • Skill development and confidence building

  • Education for athletes and families

  • Long-term progression toward junior and national-level competition

Youth development is designed as a secondary but essential pathway, ensuring future opportunities for adaptive athletes while maintaining our veteran-first mission.
